Paclobutrazol is a new kind of Plant Growth Regulator, can inhibit the generation of Gibberellin, reduce division and elongation of plant cells. It can Make stem thick ,reduce lodging and Increase production. Paclobutrazol can be absorbed by plant through its roots, stems and leaves, then inhibit gibberellin biosynthesis in plant.

Application:

Paclobutrazol is registered for the reduction of terminal growth and pruning volume in trees not used for food production on sites such as utility rights-of-way, urban environments, and residential and non-crop areas. Paclobutrazole is a non-selective, post-emergent herbicide for control of annual grasses, broadleaf weeds, herbaceous plants, woody shrubs and vines.

1) It's used on fruit trees to inhibit vegetative growth and to improve fruit set; on pot-grown ornamentals and flower crops (e.g. chrysanthemums, begonias, freesias, poinsettias and bulbs) to inhibit growth.

2) It's used on rice to increase tillering, reduce lodging, and increase yield; on turf to retard growth; and on grass seed crops to reduce height and prevent lodging.

3) It's used to be applied as a foliar spray, as a soil drench, or by trunk injection. Has some fungicidal activity against mildew and rusts.

4) It's absorbed into the xylem through the leaves, stems, or roots, and translocated to growing sub-apical meristems. Produces more compact plants and enhances flowering and fruiting.
